Columbus, Ohio Introduction

Columbus, Ohio is the state capital of Ohio. The capital city's Scioto Mile is an eight-mile pedestrian walking trail along the river's west bank. The COSI Science Center provides hands-on exhibits, live demonstrations and an indoor planetarium. Downtown, the Columbus Museum of Arts and History has many European and American paintings and a large sculpture garden. Columbus, Ohio is divided into five major geographic districts. The largest part of town is called the Short North, located north of downtown. The neighborhoods include the Short North Historic District, South Columbus, and North Columbus. The neighborhoods are home to many unique historic buildings and attractions.
